R. Sathishkumar
(Born in July 1980 at Kanchipuram, Tamilnadu, India), is a former teaching faculty
of engineering Institution (s).
Sathish is an alumnus of C. Abdul Hakeem College,
one of the oldest colleges in Vellore District, Tamilnadu, India.
He obtained his Bachelor Degree in Electronic Science (B.E.S) from University of Madras in 2000 and later
obtained his Master Degree in Applied Electronics (M.Sc) from Bharathiyar University, Coimbatore, Tamilnadu in 2002, and
thereafter his Master degree in Sensor Systems Technology (M.Tech) from the Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore, Tamilnadu in 2004.
He obtained Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Electrical Engineering from
Academy of Maritime Education and Training, Chennai, Tamilnadu in 2014.
He underwent training at National Institute of Oceanography (NIO), Goa, during August 2003.
He did a project at National Institute of Ocean Technology (NIOT), Chennai for his Master thesis from September 2003 to May 2004.
He visited to Acoustic Research Lab of National University of Singapore (NUS) during April 2014 to
learn about Autonomous Underwater Vehicle developed by ARL of NUS.
Due to his passion to Build a Community, Share Knowledge and
Create Change, on 20 January 2015, at the capacity of Author/Managing Trustee, he established
the Venus International Foundation (VIF).
Since the inception, Dr. R. Sathishkumar is serving as a Managing Trustee and Chairman of the Venus International Foundation – VIF.
