Summary

The 2nd Annual Women's Meet - AWM 2017, hosted by the Centre for Advanced Research and Design (CARD) of Venus International Foundation (VIF) on 4th March 2017 at Radha Regent Chennai. The meet and was attended by 100 delegates (represented 6 Country: from Singapore, Oman, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and India).

Inaugural Session
In the Inaugural session, Mrs. M. S Sudha, Director - VIF and Program Chair of the meet has delivered the presidential address. Further Dr. Shefaly Shorey, National University of Singapore, Singapore delivered the special address. Then, Prof. Dr. Rosna Mat Taha, University of Malaya, Malaysia delivered the special address. Finally, Dr. Jyotsna Dutta Majumdar, Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, India delivered the special address.

The Venus International Women Awards (affectionately known as the VIWAs) scheme was instituted in the year 2016. The VIWA scheme is part of the AWM and has a scheme has a Criteria, Standards, Policy, Application Form, Expert Committee and Judging Process etc that are governed by the Board of Trust.
